Production Foreman Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Foreman to join our team at Chainlink Recruitment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality products, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective production plans, working closely with the Business Manager and Sales team to meet production targets.
  • Monitor and control production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage raw material stocks, ensuring timely ordering and minimizing waste.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and tools, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with production staff to develop and implement efficient production methods and techniques, ensuring consistent product quality and meeting delivery targets.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and SABS standards, maintaining a high level of quality and safety in our products and processes.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with production staff, providing feedback on performance and results, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance production staff skills and knowledge, ensuring high levels of safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in a production environment, with a strong background in manufacturing and production management.
  • Relevant tertiary technical qualification in production management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of OHS and ISO standards, with experience in implementing and maintaining quality and safety systems.
