Job Overview:

The Product Display Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of merchandisers to effectively and efficiently display products in retail environments.

About the Role:
  1. Customer Service: Greet and acknowledge customers, ensuring excellent service standards are maintained.
  2. Count and determine stock to be displayed according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
  3. Stock Management: Draw stock requirements according to SOP, filling displays immediately after entering a store.
  4. Display products in accordance with SOP, checking product quality on shelves, stock rotation, and price tags.
  5. Maintain a clean, tidy, and uncluttered display area in accordance with housekeeping SOP.
  6. Execute display activities as per cycle brief, communicating with customers and management as needed.
  7. Problem Resolution: Provide feedback on customer complaints, queries, and requests, escalating issues to management where necessary.
  8. Communicate and upkeep knowledge of products and promotions according to the cycle brief.
  9. Reporting and Evaluation: Record display activities effectively according to standard.
  10. Monitor merchandisers' activity daily to ensure targeted number of calls are achieved.
  11. Evaluate merchandisers' performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing coaching as needed.
Requirements:
  1. Grade 12 qualification.
  2. Prior experience in an FMCG merchandising environment is beneficial.
  3. Knowledge of retail displays and visual merchandising principles is essential.
