Hugenote Kollege in Wellington is a private Christian post-school training institution that specialises in the training of pastors, leaders in various ministries, as well as professionals in the social welfare sector.

The College has a Christian character and missional calling, and works in close collaboration with various churches.

We are seeking a dynamic leader to fill the position of Rector, responsible for strategic leadership and management, academic management, overall management of courses and services, and external liaison and marketing.

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Human Sciences, Theology and/or Social Work
  • 5-10 years' relevant experience in a similar executive managerial role, preferably in the academic environment
  • Professional knowledge and insight regarding the strategic and operational functioning of business enterprises
  • Exceptional level of visionary leadership, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and insight regarding the ecclesiastical and social environment
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, structures and best practices / methodology of education & training (Higher Education and FET)
  • Well-developed negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Proven administrative skills (management of IT, Finance and HR)
  • Balanced Christian theology, values system and philosophy of life
  • Display an attitude of kind-heartedness, compassion and servant leadership
