Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Metallurgist/Principal Consultant to join our Geometallurgy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying, validating, and curating metallurgical data sets suitable for the development of predictive geometallurgical models. You will also contribute to due diligence, feasibility studies, and project development within our 10x Predictive Diagnostic and Hill of Value Strategy Optimization services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and validate metallurgical data sets suitable for predictive geometallurgical models
  • Contribute to due diligence, feasibility studies, and project development
  • Communicate project metallurgical processes to non-metallurgical team members
  • Undertake data quality assessment and analysis of metallurgical test work and process plant
  • Identify ways to select metallurgical datasets suitable for geometallurgical modelling

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy, with experience in research, laboratory, technical, or operational roles in the mining industry. A tertiary qualification in metallurgy, chemistry, or materials science/engineering is required, with postgraduate qualifications desirable. The successful candidate will also have AusIMM or equivalent membership, Chartered Professional (CP), or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration, and experience as a Qualified Person (NI 43-101) or Competent Person (JORC or equivalent).
