We are looking for a highly skilled Global Certification Expert to join our team at Schauenburg Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required certification and approval standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic/computer engineering, with 3-5 years' experience in the electronic engineering field. They will also possess hardware and software R&D experience, as well as experience in formal testing, certification, and approval techniques.
Main ResponsibilitiesThis role involves contributing to and actively participating in all certification activities, ensuring that all products are aligned to achieve local and international certification. The successful candidate will also provide recommendations for the certification and approval process.
Additionally, the Global Certification Expert will identify certification and approval standards, stakeholders, testing laboratories, and approval authorities. They will ensure that we have the current certification and approval standards and are aware of pending changes to these standards.
The successful candidate will also actively participate in reviews of requirements, architectures, and designs. They will comply with established standards and best operating practices, and identify related problems before resources are committed to addressing designs and architectures.
In terms of testing, the Global Certification Expert will perform appropriate engineering and environmental testing. They will manage the submission of products to testing and approval, facilitate the testing and approval of products, systems, and sub-systems, and ensure traceability is maintained.
Other key responsibilities include managing issue tracking in accordance with established standards and procedures, and preserving the integrity and traceability of approval and certification throughout the system life cycle.
The successful candidate will also provide inputs required for certification and approval scoping (work breakdown, resourcing, and coordination), and provide cost and duration inputs for certification and approval. They will identify assumptions and potential risks to be considered during testing and approval, manage the issues and risks involved with certification and approval, and identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of certification and approval.
Finally, the Global Certification Expert will provide cooperation and support for Engineering Project management, System engineers, Design engineers, and External technology partners/sub-contractors, and facilitate liaising with customers concerning the appropriate certification and approval methods.
