Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Gqeberha site. As a key member of our assembly area, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

  • Maintenance and repair of machinery
  • Identify and report faults on machinery in a timely manner
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks
  • Carry out pipe work, valve, pump, motor, and welding operations
  • Prioritize jobs and breakdowns effectively
  • Take initiative to maintain plant operation
  • Update preventative maintenance schedules regularly
  • Hold a Grade 12/N3 qualification
  • Must be a qualified, trade-tested Fitter with a minimum of 5 years' experience post-trade test in a similar position
  • Previous experience working on presses and conveyors is essential
  • Experience working in a production environment is necessary
  • Extensive knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics fault-finding and installation is required
  • Able to read drawings accurately
  • Familiarity with motor/gearbox fitting, aligning, and repairing
  • Machine upgrades and modifications experience is beneficial
  • Knowledge of Robotics and programming is advantageous
  • Judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative
  • Strong team player with honesty and integrity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Tolerance for stress and ability to work under deadline pressure
