As a Senior Legal Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

1. Legal Advice and Compliance: Provide expert legal advice to the organization, its Board, committees, and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, standards, policies, and codes in operations and dealings with stakeholders.
2. Litigation Management: Manage litigation risks, draft and review legal documents, and negotiate settlement of disputes.
3. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to minimize risk exposure for the organization.
4. Research and Project Agreements: Review research and project agreements, ensure effective management of these agreements across the organization.

You will also manage SANBS tip-off notifications, coordinate investigations, and provide quarterly updates to EXCO regarding tip-offs received and status updates.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a healthcare or blood service environment.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, standards, policies, and codes.
