The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the debts of customers, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries, and managing debt recovery. This includes:

  • Completing credit checks and credit limit approvals for new and existing customers.
  • Reconciling customer accounts on a regular basis.
  • Allocating deposits from bank statements to respective customer accounts.
  • Maintaining credit limits by reviewing requests for credit limit increases.
  • Reviewing and approving credit applications for new terms accounts and COD accounts in Syspro.
  • Ensuring that credit limits are reviewed annually.
  • Performing debt collection responsibilities.
  • Attending to customer account queries.
  • Prioritizing tasks in order of priority.
  • Communicating regularly with management regarding debtor concerns.
  • Preparing weekly debtors outstanding reports.
  • Conducting daily cash receivable forecasting.
  • Printing debtor invoices and statements.
  • Processing standard month end transactions and reconciliations relating to debtors accounts.
  • Assisting with the management of internal control structures.
  • Participating in external year end audits and internal audits.
