Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Draughtsperson to join our team at Dante Personnel. As a key member of our technical drawing office, you will be responsible for creating detailed design and working drawings for mechanical and piping systems.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from petrochemical-type drawings to equipment layouts and general arrangement drawings. You will have the chance to develop your skills in AutoCAD and work closely with our engineering team to ensure that all drawings meet company standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transferring engineering sketches and specifications to detailed design and working drawings
  • Developing piping and equipment general arrangement drawings
  • Preparing isometric drawings for pipework
  • Developing equipment layouts to engineering specification or conceptual drawings
  • Ensuring that drawings produced comply with company standards and procedures
  • Ensuring that drawings produced comply with relevant national/international standards, statutes, and design codes
  • Ensuring the dimensional accuracy of all work produced
  • Site measurement of equipment, buildings, and structures as required
  • Assessing draughting requirements on a weekly basis, prioritizing work packages (liaising with Operations Director when required) and allocating appropriate draughting resources
  • Ensuring all drawings leaving the office are of a high quality, complete, accurate, and compliant with company standards
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-matric draughting qualification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years experience in a technical drawing office with mechanical and piping drawings
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Good understanding of the engineering environment
  • Understanding of the relevant standards and design codes
  • Experience in petrochemical-type drawing office or similar
