Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hvac Technician to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our HVAC Systems Division, you will be responsible for commissioning large industrial HVAC systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Commission large industrial HVAC systems with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
  • Conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential issues and develop strategies for resolution
  • Evaluate and implement air quality management solutions to ensure a healthy and productive work environment
  • Perform cold and hot commissioning of new installations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Matric certification
  • N3 qualification with subjects in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Trade Theory
  • Red Seal Trade tested artisan certification
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in industrial air-conditioning and refrigeration
Experience
  • Previous experience in commissioning and servicing chilled water HVAC plant installations in the Industrial Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical sectors
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation and controls, electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and P & I Diagrams
  • Able to fault find HVAC mechanical and electrical breakdowns and trace root causes
