Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily transport service requirements
  • Accurately plan and utilize resources effectively
  • Conduct daily briefings and debriefings with drivers
  • Develop and implement daily vehicle routing and scheduling
  • Monitor and track vehicles daily
  • Ensure exceptional customer service levels
  • Ensure fleet roadworthiness and adherence to company branding and cleanliness standards
  • Supervise drivers and general assistants effectively
  • Manage driver discipline, timekeeping, and attendance
  • Communicate and report on various platforms as required
  • Liaise with HR on staff-related issues
  • Maintain occupational health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Previous fleet controlling experience advantageous
  • Transport Management or similar qualification advantageous
  • Proven leadership ability, with a commitment to leading by example
  • Code 14 driver's license and PrDP advantageous
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with vehicle tracking systems
