About the Role

We are seeking a committed and hardworking Key Performance Technician to join our team in the Boilershop department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Manager/Supervisor with various duties, including general work tasks and upkeep of structural machines.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all work stations and areas surrounding them
  • Assist the Manager/Supervisor with ad-hoc duties
  • Support Boilermakers with general work tasks and upkeep of structural machines
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and instructions
Requirements:
  • A minimum Grade 12 certificate
  • Previous experience in a Boilershop environment is advantageous
Desirable Attributes:
  • Ability to cut various thicknesses of steel using gas cutting equipment
  • Experience operating grinding and drilling portable tools accurately
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in pressurized work situations
  • In good physical health and fitness
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required

The estimated salary for this role is R120,000 - R180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
