Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Code 14 truck driver to join our team at SFG Engineering Services. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck with a trailer, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Code 14 truck with utmost care, following all traffic laws and safety procedures.
  • Load and unload cargo securely at designated delivery points, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Plan routes efficiently, considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any mechanical issues and report them promptly.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork, including delivery receipts, logbooks, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations, including load limits and working hours.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders regarding delivery updates and potential issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Code 14 driver's license.
  • A Public Driver's Permit (PDP).
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience driving large trucks, with at least 5 years' experience in abnormal or super link operations.
  • A good driving record with minimal traffic violations.
  • The ability to handle the physical demands of loading, unloading, and prolonged driving periods.
