Job Overview

As an Accountant in TMF Group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to a portfolio of assigned clients. You will work in accordance with local Accounting and Tax legislation and internal regulations, as well as adhere to all internal procedures and standards.

Through your work, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of financial complexities and gain industry best practices. You will also stay up to date with the latest accounting standards and local legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting bookkeeping for a portfolio of investment fund structures in Investran and ensuring thorough reviews of own work prior to submission for review by a senior client accountant.
  • Preparing and reconciling monthly bank accounts.
  • Maintaining regular communication to keep the Fund Accounting Manager informed of the status of all deliverables.
  • Collaborating with counterparts on other teams to ensure seamless and coordinated service delivery.
  • Maintaining files according to internal policies and procedures.
  • Developing own skills within the wider business and supporting other teams.
  • Preparing quarterly management accounts & annual financial statements (including assisting with the audit process).
  • Demonstrating expertise with all fund accounting work and progressing with more complex cases and increased volumes of work as knowledge of entities and accounting standards grows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 3 years' experience in the financial services industry.
  • Started or planning to start studying towards completing a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Good understanding of IFRS and preferably other GAAPs.
  • Familiarity with Investran.
  • Awareness of tax-efficient European fund structures and related investment vehicles and regulatory requirements – this would be advantageous.
