Profile Personnel is currently seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the production team, this role will be responsible for investigating, planning, and coordinating the development, testing, and introduction of process materials.

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Examining and analyzing Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to identify feasibility and investment requirements.
  • Evaluating engineering changes applicable to specific sections of responsibility.
  • Preparing documentation to ensure efficient introduction of ECRs.
  • Organizing system coding to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
  • Formulating facility specifications to meet excellence levels.
  • Coordinating design reviews during new jig, fixture, and tool development or modifications.
  • Controlling buy-off of new facilities by supervising try-outs, commissioning, and measuring dimensional integrity.
  • Monitoring installation of air, water, gas, and electrical services to support processes.
  • Taking part in production systems workshops for continuous improvement.
  • Planning, implementing, and controlling new processes, procedures, or production changes.
  • Conducting trials during VFF, PVS, and O-Series build, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Optimizing facilities, equipment, and plant/process layouts for production sign off.

Qualification Requirements

A National Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or Operations Management is required.

Experience Needed

Three years' relevant work experience in a production environment is necessary.

  • The ability to compile detailed investment studies and project control plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, layouts, and Final Assembly facilities.
  • Excellent insight into Product Engineering, Process and Mechanical Planning, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing, Pilot Hall, and IS production systems.
  • The ability to specify exact requirements of equipment, technologies, and tools required to manufacture vehicles in Assembly.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office incl. Projects).
  • Business Systems knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Assertiveness, decision making, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven analytical and innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preparedness to travel locally and abroad when required.
