Job Responsibilities

Your primary duties as an HR Generalist will include:

  • Employee Relations
    • Provide advice to line managers on employee conduct and misconduct management processes.
    • Investigate and process disciplinary cases, ensuring fairness and consistency.
    • Coach line managers on effective delivery of disciplinary hearings.
  • Resourcing
    • Process permissions to recruit and manage the recruitment process from start to finish.
    • Ensure accurate job advertising and tracking using eRecruitment systems.
    • Conduct interviews with line managers and make recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Talent Management
    • Facilitate performance appraisal documents and consolidate performance ratings.
    • Drive succession planning for the site or region, identifying and developing future leaders.
  • Health and Safety Compliance
    • Manage IOD/minor injury treatment processes and reporting.
  • Organisational Design
    • Liaise with line managers to propose new organizational structures and submit for approval.
  • Training Development
    • Compile training matrices from appraisal documents.
  • Employment Equity
    • Draft quarterly reports on employment equity targets and monitor progress.
  • HR Administration
    • Manage new employee onboarding processes, including orientation and welcome packages.
    • Coordinate employee wellness programs, including clinics and KKS initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Valid Code EB drivers' license.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a HR generalist, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
