Job Summary:

Staff Unlimited Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Solar / PV) to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee the company's electrical and solar planning, installation, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Planning: Develop and implement electrical plans for new and existing installations.
  • Solar Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar power systems.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage business risk related to electrical and solar systems.
  • Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of electrical and solar systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum N3 with Electrical
  • Red Seal qualification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years utility experience
  • Minimum 3 years working knowledge of PV plants
  • Assessments of buildings and drawing up of SLD's
  • Experience with switching LV, MV, and HV systems
  • Lock-out, Tag-out procedure
  • Working knowledge of power system protection
  • Able to interpret single line diagrams and schematics
  • Able to analyze data, investigate, and report on trends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical and solar system design and installation
  • Knowledge of electrical and solar system safety protocols
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
