About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join Econofoods Pty (LTD) as Fleet Controller. In this role, you will have the chance to make a real impact on the company's logistics and distribution operations. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Fleet Management:
  1. You will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-trip checks on all vehicles, identifying potential issues and taking prompt action to address them.
  2. A key aspect of your role will be investigating and reporting any fleet-related issues that may arise.
  3. To optimize fleet usage, you will allocate resources effectively and maintain accurate performance tracking.
  4. You will closely monitor truck performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain high standards.
Fuel Management:
  1. You will be responsible for monitoring daily fuel usage and submitting reports accordingly.
  2. Clearing any fuel exceptions and investigating reduced fuel efficiency on individual trucks will be essential to minimizing unnecessary costs.
Fleet Maintenance:
  1. Scheduling and coordinating vehicle services will be crucial to maintaining the fleet's overall health.
  2. You will ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks by reviewing job cards and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  3. Accurate record-keeping is vital; you will maintain comprehensive records of fuel usage and maintenance activities.
Fleet Image:
  1. Regular vehicle maintenance will be essential to presenting a positive fleet image.
  2. Establishing and enforcing weekly truck washing schedules will help maintain vehicles' hygiene standards.
Safety & Compliance:
  1. You will conduct rigorous safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet all legal standards.
  2. Addressing workplace risks and managing compliance-related tasks will be a key aspect of your role.
  3. Managing service providers in line with safety and compliance regulations will be critical to maintaining the highest standards.
Fleet Availability:
  1. Ensuring fleet availability meets delivery capacity needs will require close collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. Implementing a robust breakdown system will enable you to handle incidents efficiently and minimize operational disruption.
Cost Management:
  1. Promoting cost efficiency by promptly addressing fleet defects will be a key focus of your role.
  2. Comparing service provider quotes and forming partnerships with value-driven vendors will help minimize unnecessary costs.
  3. Effective cost management will be essential to staying within budget constraints.
Reporting, Communication And Team Management:
  1. You will facilitate team meetings according to guidelines and ensure staff are well-informed and equipped.
  2. Managing time and attendance, as well as performance, for fleet team members will be an important responsibility.
  3. Collaborating with departments to maintain fleet availability and resolve issues will be critical to your success.
  4. Working with other controllers to deliver optimal logistics services to internal and external customers will be a key aspect of your role.
  5. You will update daily, weekly, and monthly KPI boards to track progress.
  6. Providing regular reporting as required will help inform business decisions.
  7. Compliance with Health and Safety regulations within the team will be essential.
