We are seeking a skilled Senior Carpenter to manage sub-contractors on formwork and concrete finishing for luxury residential projects in Cape Town.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on high-end homes and a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest quality of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out of concrete elements on projects.
  • Supervising sub-contractors in the assembly and stripping of formwork for intricate concrete structures.
  • Interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to meet client specifications.
  • Working with a variety of materials to achieve top-tier finishes.
  • Collaborating with other trades and site managers to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Following safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Supervising and checking on sub-contractors appointed to the project.

Requirements:

  • Trade tested or full apprenticeship.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in carpentry, preferably within luxury or high-end residential projects.
  • Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with carpentry tools and equipment, and ability to work with various materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional craftsmanship.
