About this Opportunity:

We are looking for a seasoned Internal Audit Manager to join our team at The Recruitment Council. As a leader in the field of internal auditing, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our clients on matters related to risk management and internal control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the internal audit team in developing and executing a risk-based audit plan.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of the company's activities, systems, and processes.
  • Evaluate the management of risks within the organization.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls in mitigating identified risks.
  • Provide consulting services to business units to enhance their operations.
  • Communicate audit findings to management promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address audit issues.
  • Monitor the implementation of action plans.
  • Report audit activities, findings, and recommendations to the audit committee.
  • Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure resolution of identified issues.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with external auditors, compliance functions, and other assurance providers.

Requirements:

  • CA(SA) or Certified Internal Auditor (SA) (non-negotiable)
  • IT Risk and Audit Certification (Desirable)
  • Risk Management Certification (Desirable)
  • Risk Modelling (Desirable)

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in audit, with a minimum of 3 years in internal audit.
  • Experience leading/managing an internal audit team.
  • Broad range of audit experience, including operations and financial audits.
  • IT audit experience (Desirable)
  • Experience auditing insurance companies (Desirable)

Salary: R800,000 - R1,200,000 per annum
