Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing IFRS 17 and performing day-to-day accounting functions, including group reporting, regulations reporting, budgets and forecast, process income tax per client onto the general ledger, pay reinsurers and submit reinsurance bordereaux, prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations per client, draft IFRS 17 position papers for insurance entities, and outline specific accounting policy choices.

This role requires advanced Excel knowledge and a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements.

  1. Implement IFRS 17 and perform day-to-day accounting functions.
  2. Prepare group reports, regulations reports, budgets and forecasts.
  3. Process income tax per client onto the general ledger.
  4. PAY REINSURERS AND SUBMIT REINSURANCE BORDEREAUX.
  5. Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations per client.
  6. Draft IFRS 17 position papers for insurance entities.

The ideal candidate will have a CA(SA) certification and at least 2 years of experience in the insurance space.
