Job Title: Restaurant Receptionist

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and efficient Hostess to join our client's team at their premium restaurant in Northern Suburbs, Johannesburg.

Responsibilities
  • Welcoming guests and assisting them throughout their dining experience.
  • Managing reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest satisfaction.
  • Handling guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless operations, effective communication, and exceptional service delivery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/matric or equivalent; degree in hospitality is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality role, especially as a hostess or in guest services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on building rapport with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage menus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.
Estimated Salary Range:

R8,000 – R15,000 per month
