  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on instrumentation equipment in accordance with documented work instructions.
  • Execute improvements and projects plant-wide, from initiation to final handover.
  • Develop and implement PLC programs and SCADA mimic pages.
  • Investigate and diagnose problems and breakdowns, and provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and prioritize maintenance activities according to production requirements.
  • Monitor the efficiency of maintained equipment and machinery, and maintain a clean working environment.
Requirements:
  • N3/Matric with Maths and Science.
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current or Process Instrumentation).
  • Trade Certification (qualified Instrumentation Artisan).
  • 3-4 years of experience in instrumentation as an instrumentation technician, post-qualification in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Computer literacy (Intermediate to advanced).
  • Advanced PLC programming (preferably Schneider PLC).
  • SCADA Programming (preferably Adroit Classic).
  • Driver's license.
