Academic Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Developer to join our team at HR Genie. As an Academic Developer, you will play a critical role in coordinating and facilitating learning and teaching development activities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and facilitate learning and teaching development activities, ensuring alignment with the principles and vision of our Teaching Excellence cluster.
- Implement the Induction program for newly appointed lecturers, collaborating with the coordinator to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Coordinate the teaching evaluation program, gathering and analyzing data to inform teaching excellence initiatives.
- Support collaborative curriculum development activities, working closely with faculty members to design and implement effective learning experiences.
- Engage with additional academic enhancement initiatives as assigned by the Director of Learning & Teaching, staying up-to-date with best practices in academic development.
- Conduct research in academic development and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), contributing to the growth of our teaching excellence community.
- A Master's degree in Education or a related field, with a strong foundation in higher education pedagogy.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education, with at least 3 years in academic development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty members, staff, and students.
- Proven research competency and a strong interest in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
- Ability to plan, develop, and facilitate flexible learning opportunities, with a focus on technology-supported teaching and learning.
