Job Summary:

BKB is seeking a highly skilled Livestock Commission Agent to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for procuring livestock for auctions, selling livestock, and driving business growth through effective marketing and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure high-quality livestock for auctions through innovative and effective services.
  • Sell livestock to clients and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share, revenue, and profitability.
  • Procure, market, and handle auctions to maximize sales.
  • Class livestock to ensure accurate pricing and sales.
  • Oversee logistics and administrative processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Gather producer information to inform marketing strategies and drive business growth.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to build strong relationships with clients.

Requirements:

  • Agricultural Diploma/Degree with 3 years' marketing experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the livestock industry.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Goal-oriented with a focus on driving business growth.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Must be fully bilingual and conversant in Afrikaans and English.
  • Valid driver's license.
