Primary Health Care Clinic Manager

Job Overview
The key purpose of this position is to manage and operate a profitable, primary health care clinic that is situated in a pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic, including managing staff, patient records, and stock management. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to maintain healthy relationships with various stakeholders, including patients, store and dispensary managers, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers/reps, key role players in the community, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate a profitable primary health care clinic within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic, including managing staff, patient records, and stock management
- Maintain healthy relationships with various stakeholders, including patients, store and dispensary managers, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers/reps, key role players in the community, and other healthcare professionals
- Perform administrative tasks, such as processing claims, managing stock, and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and referrals
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in primary health care and occupational health nursing
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in General Nursing or a Diploma in Midwifery
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- BHF registration as a nursing practitioner
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience practicing as a primary health care clinic sister
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Information
This position offers a competitive salary range of R350,000 - R450,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses. Please note that the salary range may vary based on individual qualifications and performance.
