About the Job:

The Legends Agency is seeking a highly skilled Moulding Operations Expert to oversee various aspects of plastic injection moulding operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Toolmaking & Repairs: Develop and implement effective toolmaking strategies to improve product quality and efficiency.
  • Mechanical Maintenance: Lead routine maintenance activities on tooling and production equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Mould Changes & Setups: Coordinate mould changes and setups in injection moulding machines to ensure smooth operation.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure tools and components meet specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve complex issues related to moulds, tools and mechanical failures.
  • CNC & Manual Machining: Supervise CNC and manual machining operations to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Manage records of tool maintenance, repairs and modifications for data-driven decision-making.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations in the workshop and production areas.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Trade Tested Toolmaker (Essential).
  • Experience: 1-3 years of post-Trade Test experience in a toolroom environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in a Plastic Injection Moulding environment is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong machining and hand-finishing skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    • Understanding of precision measurements and tolerances.
    • Familiarity with CNC machining and conventional machines.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy moulds and components safely.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
