Job Description

The Personal Link is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our clients in the food processing and agricultural industries.

Design and Engineering: You will work closely with our design team to create detailed mechanical designs and specifications for processing equipment and facilities. This will involve performing engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate design choices and ensuring that all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Fabrication Oversight: You will oversee the fabrication process to ensure that all components meet design specifications and quality standards. This will involve working closely with the manufacturing team to address any technical challenges that arise during fabrication and inspecting and approving finished products before they are delivered to the installation site.

Site Installation and Commissioning: You will collaborate with installation teams to manage on-site installation activities, ensuring that all mechanical systems are installed correctly and safely. You will also coordinate with site installers to troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation and conduct commissioning activities to verify the performance of installed systems and ensure they meet project requirements.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical engineering. You will also need proven experience in the design and installation of industrial equipment or processing facilities and strong knowledge of mechanical design software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are also essential.

Additional Requirements: Experience in the food processing or agricultural industry is required, as is knowledge of fabrication processes and materials. Experience with project management software, such as ClickUp or MS Project, is also desirable. A supportive and collaborative work environment is a must.
