Chief Risk Officer

Mastech is looking for a seasoned Chief Risk Officer to join its team. As a key member of the organization's leadership team, you will be responsible for providing independent assurance and consulting services to the Board and leadership on the status of internal controls, risk management, and governance within the entity.
You will contribute to the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control processes by providing leadership and advice on addressing changing risks in the current and future dynamic business environment proactively through an intelligent and risk-based audit plan and the application of advanced technology and analytics.
The successful candidate will assist the organization in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing fraud and information technology strategies and tools for internal audit
- Managing, controlling, and coordinating the full internal audit function of Mastech
- Providing strategic and operational leadership in the development, implementation, and management of the internal audit strategy in line with the strategic objectives and business strategy of Mastech
Formal qualifications required include a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) certification, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) as an additional advantage, and a Master's level qualification in business or related field.
Candidates should have at least 10 years of proven experience in leading internal auditing in a complex business environment, with 7 years at senior management level within the field of internal audit.
Desired skills include leadership, people management, stakeholder communication, financial management, conflict resolution, strategic management, and strategic planning.
