Agricultural Auditing Position

This contract auditor role focuses on conducting audits in the Southern Africa region for Sgs' Agriculture division.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Carrying out global G.A.P. audits and documenting findings.
  2. Applying audit guidelines, generating reports, and assigning scores.
  3. Sharing findings with client site management or their representatives.
  4. Crafting work plans and ensuring timely completion of assigned audits.
  5. Staying informed about industry trends and client needs.
  6. Travel may be required, including international trips.

Essential Qualifications

Successful applicants will have:

  1. A post-secondary education in agriculture.
  2. Training in HACCP and good agricultural practices.
  3. Food safety certification.
  4. A minimum of three years' experience working in fruit and vegetable farming.
  5. Previous experience in conducting global G.A.P. audits.
  6. Familiarity with pesticide, plant protection, fertilizers, and integrated pest management.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Afrikaans, and/or local languages.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools.
  9. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  10. A valid passport and necessary work permits.

Contract Details

Remuneration will be in accordance with Sgs' employment policies.
