Job Description
  • Foster a culture of safety and sustainability by developing and implementing effective HSEQ policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act of South Africa and the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998.
  • Leverage expertise in HSEQ management systems, such as ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, and ISO45001, to ensure compliance and drive business excellence.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, ensuring thoroughness, timeliness, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Maintain relationships with business executives, providing guidance and support while advocating for HSEQ priorities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum related 3-year qualification and relevant professional Occupational Health and Safety qualification, preferably a diploma or bachelor's degree qualification.
  • Minimum 8 – 10 years relevant working experience with proven track record on key outputs and disciplines.
  • Excellent relationship building, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks impacting a Tower Company or Telecommunications.
