About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join our team at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group). As a Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in meeting their Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and reducing financial or reputational risk.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research on reputable media, government, regulatory, and law enforcement sources to build and maintain relevant data in LSEG applications for content in Africa.
  2. Utilize open-source research methods to collect information in the public domain.
  3. Identify regulatory and financial risk, including money laundering, fraud, organized crime, narcotics trafficking, and corruption.
  4. Stay up-to-date with guidelines and regulations to ensure accuracy and high-quality delivered work.
  5. Collaborate with globally based teams on shared projects.
Requirements
  1. Proficiency in English and Portuguese language is required.
  2. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
  3. Critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  4. Organization skills.
  5. Very good use of Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills
  1. Awareness of the socio-political context of the countries matching your language skills.
  2. KYC / Anti-Money Laundering / Financial Crime knowledge and experience would be an advantage.
