About the Position

The Recruitment Council is looking for a highly skilled Private Equity Fund Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform a variety of accounting, analytical, and financial reporting duties.
  2. Ensure proper accounting for investment structures, lower tier/subsidiary trial balances, tax blockers, and alternative investment vehicles (AIVs).
  3. Review the Administrator's accounting for investment structures, lower tier/subsidiary trial balances, tax blockers, and AIVs.
  4. Responsible for performing a variety of accounting, analytical, and financial reporting duties ensuring investor activity reporting is prepared and completed appropriately.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • B Comm Accounting degree or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an accountant in a private equity firm or similar role.
  • Pastel experience is an advantage.
  • Experience in financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, especially debtors and creditor control.
  • Proven excellence in your previous endeavors.
