New York Medical College's Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology is seeking a talented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the research activities of our department, including work in bacterial culture, molecular biology, protein purification, and immunological assays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include performing routine procedures, maintaining laboratory and lab supply inventory, recording experimental steps, data, and results, and training students and part-time lab assistants. You will also work with live animals (mice) and assist senior researchers in designing and implementing experiments.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have a strong educational background, preferably an A., B.S., or M.S. degree. Proficiency in MS Excel is required, and prior experience in a laboratory setting is preferred. You should also have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
