Business Development Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to develop and implement marketing and tactical plans that drive revenue growth in the business unit by identifying new and existing business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Analyse client operational financial information to inform sales decisions.
- Compile quotes to customers that secure revenue and prepare transport costings and rate cards.
- Ensure financial administrative work to open new client accounts and manage revenue, costs, and profit.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities at clients that result in more business for Unitrans.

- Identify potential strategic alliances/ventures in the market while building client relationships.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline of business opportunities.
- Create long-term contractual opportunities where possible and through relationships.
- Visit clients on a regular basis to build up sound relationships.
- Ensure sales targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Develop and implement weekly call cycles.
- Ensure existing customer base is maintained.
- Ensure profit margins are met and exceeded on work won.
