About the Role

As an Senior Electrical Design Professional, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of electrical systems for various building projects. Your expertise will ensure that electrical systems are designed and developed to meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and performance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems for various building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire detection, and security systems.
  2. Site Investigations: Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and technical assessments to identify potential issues and ensure the successful implementation of electrical systems.
  3. Document Control: Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  4. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical building services design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software (e.g., Dialux, ETAP).
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SANS, BS, or IEC electrical standards.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Certification: Professional registration (ECSA Pr. Eng/Pr. Tech Eng) is advantageous.
