The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling a full manufacturing site, with a cross-functional understanding of all areas of a manufacturing facility. They will effectively manage personnel and labour relations, as well as plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct a thorough review of all processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency.
- Plan and monitor site activities to ensure work is executed within contractual programmes.
- Maintain industrial relations and handle grievances according to company policy.
- Ensure adequate tools, equipment, and materials are available on site.
- Control and monitor the allocation of man-hours expended and costs incurred.
- Implement and maintain the management control system.
- Meet contractual requirements and protect the company's contractual and commercial positions.
- Promote safety procedures and provide training for site personnel.
Requirements
- An engineering background, particularly in Process, Chemical, or Operations discipline.
- A diploma or degree with substantial manufacturing experience.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strategic planning skills.
- Financial and business management skills.
- Ability to deal with multiple high-priority issues and excel under stressful conditions.
- Experience in FMCG/Manufacturing industry.
