Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Composite Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Milkor Integrated Systems.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a talented individual with experience in composite manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting CAD drawings, cutting materials, and laying up composite components as per specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in composite manufacturing, with a sound knowledge of composite materials and weave directions. A Grade 12 education is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret CAD Drawings: Interpret and understand complex CAD drawings to produce high-quality composite components.
  • Cut Materials: Cut various materials accurately and efficiently using specialized equipment.
  • Mix Resins: Mix resins according to specific formulations and application requirements.
  • Layup Composite Materials: Lay up composite materials as per CAD drawings, ensuring precise alignment and quality control.
  • De-moulding and Trimming: De-mould and trim composite layups to achieve smooth, defect-free surfaces.
  • Inspect Work: Inspect own work thoroughly to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Sand and Prepare: Sand and prepare components for painting, achieving a smooth finish.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum Grade 12 education is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in composite manufacturing.
  • Skills: Sound knowledge of composite materials and weave directions.
Estimated Salary Range

R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
