Stethoscope SA is seeking a skilled Enrolled Nurse to join our team as a Surgical Care Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients in a surgical setting.
We offer a competitive salary of R280,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description:
- Surgical Care Provision: The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and caring for patients in the surgical unit, ensuring their needs are met and their safety is maintained.
- Team Collaboration: You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and coordinate activities effectively.
- Inventory Management: The nurse will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, replenishing stock, and managing consumables to ensure efficient operating room procedures.
- Patient Education: You will provide educational materials and guidance to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
- An Enrolled Nurse qualification.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Enrolled Nurse assistant.
- Post-Op nursing experience is essential.
- Floor nurse and Anaesthetic experience essential.
