Import Documentation Controller

Key Responsibilities
- Opening and recording of shipments on receipt of import documentation;
- Tracking and monitoring all incoming shipments, ensuring they are properly documented and suppliers paid as per agreed terms;
- Resolving discrepancies related to imported goods;
- Liaising with local and overseas suppliers via email or phone;
- Processing foreign payments via banking platform;
- Capturing and processing local payments;
- Preparing monthly costings and reconciling related general ledger accounts;
- Filing and maintaining original shipping documents;
Essential Qualifications
- Matric plus extensive work experience (minimum 5 years);
- Appropriate / relevant qualification supporting the role;
- Shipping/Import experience essential;
- Knowledge and understanding of import documentation and procedures essential;
- Experience within a team dynamic beneficial;
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel essential;
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), Oracle Financials.
