Agriculture Focused Contract Auditing Role

This role involves conducting audits at client locations in the Southern Africa region for Sgs' Agri Products Division.

The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting global G.A.P. audits and summarizing findings.
  2. Interpreting audit guidelines, reporting, and scoring audits.
  3. Communicating findings/results with client site management or representative.
  4. Developing work plans and completing assigned audits within determined time frames.
  5. Maintaining industry trend awareness and identifying client needs.
  6. Travel is required, both locally and internationally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  1. Post-high school diploma or degree in agriculture.
  2. HACCP and good agricultural practices training.
  3. Food hygiene training.
  4. Minimum three years' experience working in the fruit and vegetable sector on farms.
  5. Experience performing GLOBAL G.A.P. audits.
  6. Pesticide/plant protection, fertilizer application, and IPM qualifications, along with up-to-date knowledge thereof.
  7. Excellent communication skills in English, Afrikaans, and/or local languages (written and verbal).
  8. High computer literacy and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital programs.
  9. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  10. A valid passport and work permit for the country working in.
