Job Masters Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Culinary Director to lead our kitchen on Cape Clear Island. This is an exciting opportunity to build an award-winning kitchen using high-quality local food products, with a focus on seasonal ingredients and sustainable practices.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in culinary arts, who can develop and implement a menu that showcases the freshest ingredients available. The ideal candidate will have a passion for farm-to-fork dining, sustainability, and sourcing local ingredients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen team, overseeing food preparation, menu planning, and quality control. They will also work closely with local suppliers and farmers to source the freshest ingredients, emphasizing local, sustainable produce.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a menu that showcases seasonal ingredients

- Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in food preparation
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional culinary experience

- Proficiency in seasonal menu development and adaptability to changing seasons
- Strong understanding of food preservation techniques such as fermenting, pickling, and curing
- Experience in building and leading a kitchen team
