Job Title: Junior Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Construction Manager to join our team in Pretoria, Moot area. As a Junior Construction Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the construction of solar energy projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver PV installation projects from execution to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with senior management.
  • Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or obstacles, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project requirements and industry standards.
  • Assist in tracking project expenses, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, change orders, and correspondence with stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams, clients, and regulatory authorities to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years working experience within a solar and/or electrical industry.
  • Tertiary education in a relevant field would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience working on simultaneous projects/sites at a time.
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels.
  • Computer literate (emails and excel).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
