Job Title: Senior Toolmaker

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Toolmaker to join our team at Jobs2day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the toolroom team in the design, development, and maintenance of precision tools and jigs.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient tooling and production processes.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure ISO TS compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior toolmakers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Perform various welds, including CO2, Arc, gas, and manual welding.
  • Conduct regular toolroom audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of NQF 12 or Grade 12 Qualification & Tool Maker Trade Test.
  • Minimum of 3 years plant maintenance experience.
  • Supervisory / Management experience essential (Toolroom).
  • Jig & Fixtures tooling precision adjustments working experience and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of measurement.
  • Ability to perform various welds.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of production process.
  • Knowledge in quality management ISO TS.

Experience:

  • Tool, Jig & Die: 3 years (Required).
  • Post Trade Test (Toolmaker): 3 years (Required).
  • Heavy Press Experience Advantageous.

Licence:

  • Vehicle (Required).
