**Job Overview:**

MC Technology Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Design Draughtsman to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for creating and managing 3D models, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Responsibilities:

  • Produce efficient, high-quality 3D models that meet deadlines.
  • Create and manage technical and instructional 2D assembly drawings, flat pattern drawings, and BOMs.
  • Liaise with production to improve existing products and ensure all drawings comply with office standards.
  • Action Engineering Change Requests on existing products and maintain a logical filing system.
  • Generate Standard Operating Procedures and take ownership of projects.

Requirements:

  1. A Higher Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is required.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in 3D modeling using SolidWorks is critical.
  3. Sheet Metal Experience is essential.
  4. Knowledge of the laser-cutting process is necessary.
  5. Understanding welding, fastener best practices, powder coating, and sealing is critical.
  6. Electrical and P&ID experience is a bonus.
  7. Experience with SolidWorks Visualize or similar rendering software is a bonus.
  8. Experience using Product Data Management (PDM) is a bonus.
  9. Good communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities are essential.
  10. Skilled use of Google Suite & Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
