Job Description

 

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at HR Genie. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our finance function, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial reporting, including internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Cash Management: Manage the company's cash flow, including managing accounts receivable and payable, and maintaining adequate cash reserves.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, liquidity risk, and market risk.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A degree in Accounting or a related field, and a professional certification such as CA(SA) or ACCA.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with accounting software such as Xero or SAP.
