Job Description

This is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and stimulating environment with a talented team of academics and researchers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, supervising students, and contributing to departmental research initiatives and output.

The appointee will also contribute to the development of curriculum and participate in policy discussions within the department and university.

About the Department

The Department of Psychology is a vibrant and diverse unit that offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of psychology.

We have a strong research focus and host a number of public lectures and research events.

Responsibilities
  • Teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Supervise students at various levels
  • Contribute to departmental research initiatives and output
  • Develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in policy discussions within the department and university
Requirements
  • PhD degree in Psychology
  • Track record of accredited publications
  • Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA
  • Evidence of experience of teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Evidence of successful track record of postgraduate supervision
