Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Export Customs Specialist to join our team at On Line Personnel in Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities
  • Process shipments on ShipShape, ensuring timely registration and compliance with SARS regulations.
  • Prepare and submit EDI Bills of Entries, cargo dues, and VOCs within the prescribed period.
  • Verify accuracy of source documents and information, identifying potential errors or discrepancies.
  • Process Certificate of Origins, EUR1, SADC, and GSP certificates for export shipments.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes, including customs and excise requirements for international trade.
Requirements
  • 4-5 years of experience in operations through export activities for medium/large businesses.
  • Certification in Customs Clearing and Forwarding (Logistics Diploma advantageous).
  • Extensive knowledge of customs and excise requirements, shipping documents, and procedures.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and working knowledge of ShipShape.
  • Solid clearing and forwarding exports experience, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under stress/volumes, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Package & Remuneration

R20 000 to R25 000 per month CTC commensurate with experience and qualification.
