About the Role

A Data Scientist III should possess a deep understanding of data science principles and be able to apply them independently, collaborating with supervisors to review requirements and results. This role involves working with managers to define project scope and executing the necessary methods to develop, test, and deliver outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to senior Data Scientists, focusing on data analysis, model development, and maintenance.
  • Pull, clean, and process data, building and maintaining existing models.
  • Participate in result presentations to internal stakeholders, effectively communicating insights and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Be proficient in machine learning dimensionality reduction, clustering, embeddings, and sequence classification algorithms.
  • Have practical experience in Natural Language Processing methods and libraries such as spaCy, word2vec, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Flair, BERT, and large language models.
Technical Skills
  • Strong background in Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of data modeling principles and complex data models.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and AWS Neptune.
  • Experience with Spark, Ray, or other distributed computing systems is highly preferred.
Data Science Skills
  • Competency in relevant skills and software packages.
  • Demonstrate competencies in relevant Data Science and/or Statistical frameworks.
  • Able to apply Machine Learning, Data Mining, and/or Statistical methods to build advanced models.
  • Understand and create typical data steps to prepare and process data for analysis.
  • Able to execute standard coding for projects and processes to do the job successfully using company standard toolsets.
