We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical fire systems that meet or exceed industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and installing mechanical fire systems for various facilities and environments
  • Conducting feasibility studies and assessing the requirements of fire protection systems
  • Collaborating with architects, construction teams, and other stakeholders to incorporate fire protection systems into building designs and plans
  • Performing calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of mechanical fire systems
  • Selecting and specifying appropriate equipment, such as fire pumps, sprinklers, extinguishers, and alarms
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical fire systems
  • Conducting inspections and audits of existing fire protection systems to identify deficiencies and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Developing maintenance and inspection schedules for fire protection equipment and systems
  • Providing technical guidance and support to clients, contractors, and maintenance personnel regarding fire protection systems

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in designing, installing, and maintaining mechanical fire protection systems
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and standards, such as NFPA, IBC, and local regulations
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and hydraulic calculation tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest level of safety and compliance
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection Engineering (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in fire protection engineering or related fields (e.g., CFPS, NFPA certifications) (preferred)
